Travelling Chicken is a unique tour company founded by Lenka, a passionate traveler and a newcomer to Canada. Lenka’s love for exploring the beauty of Ontario led her to create a platform where solo travelers could come together, make new friends, and embark on exciting adventures. Lenka’s journey began in Toronto in June 2011, with a plan to stay for just six months. However, her love for the city and its surroundings quickly grew, turning those months into years. It was during this time that the idea for Travelling Chicken was born.

I’ve started Travelling Chicken as a newcomer to Canada. I wanted to travel with friends around Ontario. I quickly realize that most of my friends were leaving back home and I was curious to see what Ontario had to offer. With the slogan such as “yours to discover” my interest grew rapidly. Sadly, I had no companion to travel with as they all left back to their countries but than a lightbulb went off. I’ve decided to meet new people and organize a group tour to Blue Mountain through Meetup. It turned up to be one of the best trips I have ever gone on. Today, I get to travel around Ontario and show newcomers the beauty of this province. Who knew this experience would turn into something I am so passionate about….”

If you are looking for Spanish speaking tour guide, Cris is the one who will lead the tour. She has joined one of the Travelling Chicken’s tour just one week after she arrived to Toronto from Baja California Sur in Mexico. She has joined lot of tours since than and she became our Travelling Chicken Tour Guide for Spanish but also English speaking groups.

Tourism 2030 Pledge
Travelling Chicken has signed the Sustainable Tourism 2030 Pledge, to demonstrate our commitment to improving the sustainability performance of our business between now and 2030.
The UN World Tourism Organization defines sustainable tourism as “tourism that takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the.needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and host communities.”
Each year, we commit to measuring and improving our sustainability performance in each of the following ways:
We will use eco friendly products and packages on our tours such as paper cups or re-usable utensils on our tours.
We collaborate with the local farms and small businesses to support local companies and tourism.
In order to reduce our impact on nature and waste production, we transitioned 100% of our business activities and documents to electronic versions. The clients are able book and sign a waiver electronically online.
