Tobermory Kayaking & Hiking: Tip of the Bruce Adventure
Ever wondered what it feels like to reach the very edge of Ontario—where crystal-clear water meets dramatic cliffs and nature feels completely untouched?
Our Tobermory Kayaking & Hiking tour is the perfect one-day escape for anyone craving adventure without needing experience. This Tobermory day trip takes you deep into the heart of Tobermory, surrounded by turquoise waters, ancient shipwrecks, and the wild beauty of the Bruce Peninsula. It’s beginner-friendly, social, and designed to make you feel proud of what you’ve just done.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to get outside, try kayaking, or go hiking Bruce Peninsula without stress — this is it.
Your Tobermory Kayaking & Hiking Adventure Awaits
This isn’t a rushed sightseeing tour or a hardcore expedition. It’s a carefully paced Tobermory Kayaking & Hiking experience built for newcomers, solo travelers, and anyone who wants to reconnect with nature while meeting like-minded people.
You’ll kayak over crystal-clear water, hike scenic coastal trails, swim in Georgian Bay, and still be back in Toronto the same evening. No planning, no gear worries — just show up and enjoy one of Ontario’s most iconic landscapes.
Kayak Over Sunken Shipwrecks in Tobermory
We kick things off on the water with a guided Tobermory kayaking tour through Big Tub Harbour — Canada’s largest natural freshwater harbour.
Paddling alongside the iconic Big Tub Lighthouse, you’ll glide over historic shipwrecks visible beneath your kayak thanks to Tobermory’s legendary clarity. Our guides provide full instruction, high-quality gear, and a relaxed introduction, making this part of the Tobermory Kayaking & Hiking tour accessible even if it’s your first time kayaking.
No experience required — just curiosity.
Hiking Bruce Peninsula & A Hidden Swim Spot
After kayaking, we refuel with lunch at a local Tobermory restaurant (classic, veggie, or schnitzel options available), then lace up for the second half of the adventure.
Our hiking Bruce Peninsula route takes you into Bruce Peninsula National Park, following scenic trails toward Little Dunks Bay Lookout. Expect rugged limestone cliffs, forest paths, and panoramic views over Georgian Bay.
To top it off, we finish with a secret swim stop — a quiet, wild place where you can cool off, relax, and fully soak in the Bruce Peninsula vibe.
Weather note: Safety comes first. If kayaking is not possible due to conditions, the kayaking portion will be refunded and we’ll extend our hiking Bruce Peninsula experience instead.

More about Bruce Peninsula
More about this tour
The Bruce Peninsula is a peninsula in Ontario, Canada, that divides Georgian Bay of Lake Huron from the lake's main basin. The peninsula extends roughly northwestwards from the rest of Southwestern Ontario, pointing towards Manitoulin Island, with which it forms the widest strait joining Georgian Bay to the rest of Lake Huron. The Bruce Peninsula contains part of the geological formation known as the Niagara Escarpment. If you are looking to visit Bruce Peninsula in winter, join our snowshoeing tour.
