Overview
Join us on a day, and learn, how to build igloo on a day tour from Toronto to Haliburton Forest, Ontario. Learn how to build your very own igloo with instructor Martin Pate. Martin (aka PineMartyn) is a backcountry hiker, canoeist, snowshoeist, and iglooist with many years of backcountry camping experience, including in igloos and other snow shelters.
Do you want to experience a truly Canadian adventure? Are you into an outdoor activities or do you just want to tackle a cool winter challenge? Then you should definitely join this trip!
Igloo building is an art form and a way to connect with some winter survival skills. And remember, practice makes perfect – your first igloo might not be flawless, but it’ll be an unforgettable part of your Canadian trip!
On this trip, you will not only learn how to build an igloo, but also learn about different types of snow shelters, how to make coffee or cook inside of the igloo or learn how to heat your igloo safely to stay warm and dry out any wet gear while right inside the igloo.
